深圳计算科学研究院(SICS)积极拓展计算科学基础科学理论研究,鼓励学科间相互合作,鼓励科研人员发表高水平学术论文。自2019年成立以来,在筹建期内,深圳计算科学研究院科研人员在各自领域内取得了重要的进展。例如,樊文飞院士课题组论文Parallelizing Sequential Graph Computations被世界数据库系统领域公认的权威汇刊ACM Transactions on Database Systems (TODS) (美国计算机学会数据库系统汇刊),以2017 SIGMOD最佳论文殊荣特约收录;同样是由樊文飞院士领衔的另一课题组论文Dependencies for Graphs,同样被行业顶级期刊ACM Transactions on Database Systems (TODS) (美国计算机学会数据库系统汇刊)特约发表收录;此外,樊文飞院士团队还在The 45th International Conference on Very Large Data Bases (VLDB)、ACM Journal of Data and Information Quality (ACM数据与信息质量期刊)及Proceedings of the Royal Society A: Mathematical, physical and engineering sciences(英国皇家学会学报期刊A)等多个权威国际顶级会议及期刊学报中屡获佳绩,特约发表多篇学术论文,等等。

据统计,截止2019年,深圳计算科学研究院科研人员共发表学术论文18篇(17篇CCF-A类顶级会议和期刊),其中包括数据库领域最顶级期刊TODS录用2篇特约,数据库顶级期刊之一VLDBJ 1篇,IEEE顶级期刊TKDE 3篇,计算机最顶级会议STOC录用华南地区单位第一篇,数据库领域最顶级会议之一SIGMOD 3篇,数据库领域最顶级会议之一VLDB收录论文3篇数据库领域最顶级会议之一ICDE收录论文3篇。具体如下:
